News Players
As players, there are certain rights and responsibilities inherent to being on this game. The rights and responsibilities apply equally to staff, however.
- Abusive behaviour will not and should not be tolerated.
- Roleplay should be a cooperative endeavour, working together, not against each other.
- Roleplay should be created by staff and players alike.
- Cheating will not be accepted.
- If it isn't fun anymore, people may choose to leave at any time.

News Plots
We sometimes hear on ASiT people cry 'but there are no plots!' This cry seems to only come from a handful, but we want to disabuse people of this notion, now, and for future players. It is NOT true that there are no plots; however, plots on here tend to be carried out over a long period of time, and it's good to know how things are done. Here's a basic explanation for those who've been wondering.
- Plots begin their inception during the summer; while other mushes have little going on, or only highly defined, highly scheduled events, ASiT takes an approach based upon the books. Clues and events will be placed into general RP. Many of these are small, subtle things, which need to be followed up on in RP (among PCs or by contacting staff to tell them what you intend to do about it). Sometimes there are visible, loud results; sometimes the results are quieter. Sometimes, it may seem nothing happens at all.
- Over the course of the year, things will continue to happen, getting gradually and gradually more 'obvious'. What the players do determines the outcome, in ALL SUCH CASES. If players do nothing, then either nothing will happen, or things will happen outside of players' ability to control or influence or change them - just like real life. If players are deeply involved, they will know more of what's going on, and be able to affect things more - again, just like real life.
- Sometimes, big things will happen; scheduled scenes will typically have things happen which can lead to plot stuff. However, 90% or more of the plots will be presented through everyday RP by other PCs and occasional use of NPCs. Results are more likely to be displayed in larger scenes, and sometimes, more clues given; it is up to the players, though, to follow up things which interest them. There will be little to no spoon-feeding, as staff just isn't able to know who is interested in what.
- Staff IS willing to work with players to help with character development through plots or scenes, whether one on one or in larger groups. However, such things should be able to involve a larger percentage of the playerbase, and people who request such things should be prepared to back it up in RP with others. This applies equally to OCs as to FCs; noone is immune, including staff alts where applicable.

News Preapproval
Staff has provided for those having difficulty deciding a list of requested or desirable PC concepts for people to play. This does not mean that the character itself stands already approved; however, these characters, being ready-made, are available to be applied for with a minimal amount of difficulty. If interested, please check with staff.
